Although we cannot change the past, we can find a deeper understanding of how past life experiences have influenced our thoughts, emotions, and behaviors and how we approach obstacles. As an intern, I aim to promote psychological autonomy by providing a safe environment where I will partner with you on your journey toward self-discovery. I am passionate about developing a positive therapeutic relationship and providing an integrated approach to suit the client's specific needs and diverse concerns.
I am completing my MS in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Capella University and completed my BS in Psychology from the University of Nebraska - Lincoln. I have worked directly with children and adults in a residential treatment facility and family services. I used a trauma-informed approach while working with depression, anxiety, LGBTQIA+, substance use, trauma, suicidal ideation, neurological and developmental disorders, and personality disorders. I am a current member of the Colorado Counseling Association (CCA) and the American Counseling Association (ACA).
