I believe people to be ever evolving beings that are shaped by their past experiences, environmental influences, and an entirely unique worldview. Helping an individual discover their strengths develops self-awareness and empowers them to reach their fullest potential and optimal state of wellbeing; these are things I hope to help individuals accomplish in their therapy sessions.

The therapeutic relationship created between client and counselor is one that encompasses a safe space and allows the individual to authentically be their true self. I plan to focus on this relationship and take a person-centered approach that emphasizes empathy, genuineness, and unconditional positive regard. I would like to take a collaborative approach toward helping empower my clients to gain the confidence necessary to make needed changes in their lives. I believe that there is not a one size fits all approach toward counseling and plan to use a variety of therapeutic interventions to support my clients along the way and find treatment options to best suit their needs.

I am currently pursuing my Master’s degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling through Capella University. Prior to this degree, I completed my Bachelor’s degree in Communication Studies at the University of Rhode Island. I am currently a member of the Colorado Counseling Association (CCA) and American Counseling Association (ACA).
