Dr. Faye Kouimelis (Dr. Faye) is a psychologist candidate, doctor of clinical psychology, and occupational therapist. She works with kiddos through older adults, specializing in individual therapy and groups. She utilizes play therapy, sand tray and sensory integration when working with children. Dr. Faye started in the mental health field as an OT in 2005 working with children who have autism, intellectual and developmental disabilities, TBI, and those with differently able-bodies. She completed her OT internship at the Jefferson Barracks VA hospital in St. Louis, MO has continued to specialize in therapy work with veterans and first responders. During her doctoral work in clinical psychology, she focused on treating psychosis in children and adults. Her goal in her practice is to help clients’ reach their highest potential and help heal inner turmoil. She also guides individuals toward experiencing a more meaningful life. She works from a psychodynamic, humanistic/existential, and biopsychosocial perspective. Additionally, her approach is holistic in nature believing the mind and body are intertwined creating a unique mind-body connection. This connection is an essential part of the human experience and healing. Healing is a journey and I will be alongside you throughout this journey.
