I am Ashley Moore, a Marriage and Family Therapy clinical intern through Northcentral University. Prior to enrolling in this program, I received a bachelor‘s degree in Psychology with a Minor in Sociology from the University of Colorado, Denver in 2015. From there I went on to complete a master’s degree in Psychology from the University of Phoenix in 2018. In 2019 I enrolled at Northcentral University to pursue a master’s degree in Marriage and Family Therapy.
I have over 2 years of experience in the mental health field and have provided therapeutic support to varying populations to include at-risk youth, adolescents, children, and families. Outside of the internship, I have experience working in a residential setting and with trauma-informed care. I have experience leading support groups for perinatal mood and anxiety disorders within the military community, and with mothers in general. I approach therapy with a collaborative and solution-focused lens and strive to meet my clients where they are at with the understanding that they are the experts on their lives and are capable of healing.
